Transportation & Fleet

Odoo for fleets that watch every dirham per kilometre.

Trips, drivers, vehicles, and costs — dispatched, tracked, and billed from one system.

Truck on a highway

Overview

Transport margins hide in fuel, maintenance, idle days, and unbilled trips. We configure Odoo to run dispatch and fleet operations with per-trip costing, so you know which vehicle, route, and customer actually makes money, backed afterwards by our support and AMC service.

What we implement

Trip and dispatch management with driver and truck assignment.

Vehicle, fuel, and maintenance cost tracking.

Per-trip billing with customer rate cards.

Driver settlements and documentation.

Fleet profitability reporting by vehicle and route.

The outcome

A fleet where every trip is billed, every cost is visible, and every vehicle earns its keep.

Frequently asked questions

Can Odoo tell us the true profit on every trip once fuel, tolls, and driver pay are counted, or do we need separate fleet software alongside it?

Odoo's Fleet app logs vehicles and maintenance, and Accounting posts the bills, but neither treats a trip as one costed unit by default. Linking fuel, tolls, and driver pay to a specific trip and customer rate card is configuration built around your dispatch process, so cost per kilometre and margin by route become a report you can trust, not a spreadsheet reconciled after the fact.

Trip and settlement history currently lives across paper log sheets and a spreadsheet, not one system. Can that history move into Odoo without pausing dispatch while the switch happens?

Vehicle, driver, and customer records migrate first, together with current rate cards, so dispatch can start immediately on accurate masters. Historical trip and settlement data comes across wherever the source records are structured enough to map cleanly, while older, closed periods are often left in the original sheets for reference. Daily dispatch continues throughout, since nothing switches off until the new record is proven.

Once the fleet is running live, is ongoing support a ticket queue, or does someone actually know our routes and rate cards?

Not a ticket queue. A senior consultant visits your depot once or twice a week as standing, on-site support, so the same person who already knows your routes, drivers, and rate cards is the one reviewing them. That rhythm suits transport operations well, since fuel prices and customer rates shift often enough that a configuration left untouched for months quietly drifts out of date.
